The Road to Wellbeing is an approach and set of ideals for delivering Occupational health and wellbeing within the Highways Sector, solely aimed at providing board statements under strategic delivery headings which organisations who sign up to the Road to Wellbeing approach can achieve using their own processes and procedures.
The ideals are taken from the Mind Workplace Wellbeing Index, an existing and pre-recognised set of parameters which many organisations from both within and outside of our industry will already be familiar with.
However, the overall approach has been expanded to consider not just the wellbeing of the individual, but instead also the overall health of an individual, considers their mental health and their physical health.
On 20th May 2020, we’ll be sitting with 100 industry leaders and safety & wellbeing experts; including thought leaders who make up the new Safer Highways Council, and key figures from across their organisations.
The event will form the launchpad for our industry-wide “Road to Better Wellbeing” framework and strategy designed to enable organisations, both large and small, to effectively benchmark themselves against a series of pre-defined key performance indicators around wellbeing and occupational health.
Taking place at the Safety and Health Expo the presentation – in the keynote theatre – will be the highways industry’s first opportunity to share the work we have undertaken and to share our collaborative and open approach to sharing best practice – see separate wellbeing document for outline framework.
