Norfolk top of counties in national road satisfaction survey

In total Norfolk was at or above the national average across 24 of the 27 Key Benchmark Indicators.

County Councillor Graham Plant, cabinet member for highways, infrastructure and transport said; “To achieve first place amongst our peers for a second year in a row is fantastic news. This achievement is testament to the hard work and dedication of all the highway and transport team, and demonstrates how ambitious we are to be the best for Norfolk’s residents.

“I was particularly pleased to see improvements across all modes of sustainable transport, with satisfaction in local bus services being the top for satisfaction – a direct result of our fantastic enhanced partnership delivering Norfolk’s bus service improvement plan over the last two and a half years.

“In these difficult financial times we have to make some tough decisions when it comes to our budgets, we continue to deliver high satisfaction across all areas of this important service and focus our efforts and spending on all things that people tell us are most important to them, which are safe roads that are in good condition.”
