Highway Traffic Management (HTM) hosted its annual in-house awards ceremony on Friday, January 10, 2025, to honour the hard work, dedication, and exceptional contributions of its employees across their 23/24 business year.
The event, held at the company’s Birmingham headquarters, brought together team members and management to celebrate achievements that have driven the company’s continued success.
The ceremony featured multiple award categories designed to recognise outstanding performance, innovative thinking, and those who continue to uphold the company values within various departments, with 14 categories in total.
Nominees were judged by HTM’s Managing Director, Greg Baldwin and Business Director, Marcus Casey, with 3 external guest judges helping to determine the winners. In addition to these awards, several long-service awards were presented, celebrating employees who have dedicated years of service to the company’s mission.
“Thanks go to Caroline Hinchcliffe of Kier, Michael Doolin of Clover HR and Thomas Clarkson-Williams of Birmingham City Council, for taking the time to be part of our judging panel. We know that collaboration is important within our industry and not just within our business, so their support in making these awards a success is appreciated,” said Greg.
Speaking at the event, Managing Director, Greg Baldwin, expressed gratitude to all employees for their unwavering commitment to excellence and safety on the roads. “Today is about acknowledging the people who are the heart of HTM. Your dedication ensures we continue to deliver top-tier services and maintain safety for all road users. Thank you for your exceptional efforts.”
The ceremony began with an acknowledgement to Keith Baldwin, HTM’s late founder and chair, crediting the enjoyment he had from seeing others succeed, with a short video shared with the audience that summarised his impact upon his workforce and industry peers.
“Keith was such a people person, and he always enjoyed attending the awards to see the recognition given to employees from across the company,” said Business Director, Marcus Casey.
The event also had an additional award for this year, an award for an Inspirational Leader, something which the business kept under wraps until the end of the event.
On stage, Marcus explained, “There is one little surprise in store as we have one final award to present that this person is totally unaware of.”
“This person has shown generosity and compassion to employees, and has continued to innovate and strengthen the business in a year that saw both professional and personal challenges, losing our founder and chair, Keith Baldwin.
“His passion to improve and grow the business is inspiring, to make HTM the best company it can be. So congratulations to our Managing Director and Inspirational Leader, Greg Baldwin.”
The ceremony underscored HTM’s commitment to nurturing a supportive and appreciative work environment, which continues to be a cornerstone of the company’s culture. By investing in employee development and recognizing exceptional achievements, HTM reinforces its position as a leading traffic management provider in the region.
