National Highways has revealed plans to carry out maintenance work on some of the county’s busiest routes throughout next year.
The organisation, responsible for the country’s biggest and busiest roads, has published a series of notices that establish the right to carry out maintenance and improvement work on several Shropshire roads throughout 2025.
Work will be permitted to take place between 7pm and 6am (7am on weekends), from Thursday, January 2 to Tuesday, December 23 and road closures are expected.
The M54, A5, A41 and A49 are all included in the plans and it is expected that National Highways will publicise specific dates for work as they approach.
