Colchester A12 and A120 road closures confirmed by National Highways

National Highways has said there is set to be more carriageway closures, lane closures, contraflow and a diversion route on the A12.

They will be implemented between Ipswich and Lowestoft due to carriageway reconstruction and renewal works, from 9pm on October 14, 2022, to 5am on February 3, 2024.

The A120 will also see delays until May 26 from Colne Road at junction 25 on the A12 at Marks Tey.

A diversion route will be in place on behalf of Essex Highways.

The A12 will see additional delays from 8am on May 22 to 6pm on May 24 running in both directions.

The delays will run from Easthorpe Road, in Copford, to Marks Tey, Junction 25 on the A12.

A diversion route will run on behalf of Anglian Water.

National Highways is only responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so the closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
