British Transport Police have recently praised two members of Carlise Security Services who courageously tackled a member of the public at Sheffield City Station.
On the 23rd June Mohamed Ali, came across a member of the public who, without provocation brandished a metal trowel which very closely resembled a knife.
Both Mr Ali and the station supervisor showed incurable bravery to keep the individual away from members of the public.
The suspect was lated remanded in custody and received an 8 month custodial sentence.
Speaking on social media Paul Evans, CEO of Carlisle Security Services said,
"The letter says it all.........
Well done to Carlisle Security Officer, Mohamed, for dealing with what sadly is becoming an all to common occurrence. Amazing work and we are proud to have you in our family.
Special thanks to PC Percival, from the British Transport Police, as well. Sometimes it is all too easy to accept this as the 'norm' and we should never expect this as such.
Nice to see the offender was duly dealt with and is now imprisoned. "
